Time Lapse Photos are finally here I could only put up the ones that distorted the face beyond recognition, but they turned out great all the same, and the kids loved them!

Starting time lapse portraits with my Junior High Students.  We will be using SLR black and white film.  I can't wait for the experimenting to begin!  Hopefully I can post some final results at a later date.

Second Year for Photo Boxes So impressed with the level of boxes this year.  The kids really understood the concept of creating a unique space that exists of its own accord.  LOVE IT!

Photo Students Exploring the School   Students were asked to explore the school and take pictures focusing on composition.    Some students took creativity into their own hands!  

Ink Blots and Zen-tangles Collide Students had a bit of fun making ink blots, but we then filled all the open areas with Zen-tangles.  We talked about abstract art, and being inspired by opportunity and space.  We talked about treating each area of their ink blot as an opportunity not a challenge.  We later introduce the basics of color schemes.  The students were able to pick their own color scheme to incorporate into their art.  I think they are fabulous!  So are finished some are not but no matter what drawing level a student is at they turn out great.

Memory Assignment using Photographs Students took a field trip around town taking pictures of things they remember most about growing up in their hometown.

Colored Pencil Fun  Advanced art working on colored pencil design and layering.

An Art Teacher Has to Create Too! I just finished two artworks, and it only took 3 months.  Sometimes I wonder how art teachers ever find time to make their own art, but I guess we find time for all of our passions.  And today it's my own art.  Enjoy!

Staged Photography Students had to create a dynamic space out of a word they picked from the dictionary and then Photograph the space.
