An Art Teacher Has to Create Too! I just finished two artworks, and it only took 3 months.  Sometimes I wonder how art teachers ever find time to make their own art, but I guess we find time for all of our passions.  And today it's my own art.  Enjoy!

Staged Photography Students had to create a dynamic space out of a word they picked from the dictionary and then Photograph the space.

Student Interpretation of an Image Transfer Idea from Pintrest. One of my students came to me wanting to try out the image transfer demo they saw on Pintrest.  I couldn't think of a better reason to try something new.  Here are some of the results.

Plaster Cast Faces Visiting artist Pamela Hinson came to visit, and she gave us an added demonstration on how to cast our faces.  These are the final results.

Texture Painting and Complement Colors Students found textures and then went paint crazy.  Look at these amazing abstract designs.

There is a Little Pollock Inside us all. Learning about Jackson Pollock, how do our personalities differ from his style of art, or are they the same.  How better to learn about emotions than evaluating your self with Jackson himself.

Believing in God Photography Assignment One of the greatest things about working in a Catholic School is still keeping the faith alive, even in art!
